Position Available:

Youth Care Worker

(Full-time, Part-time, and Casual Positions)


Are you a positive and influential role model?

Do you have a passion for coordinating engaging activities for youth?

Can you build strong relationships with at-risk youth?

Are you skilled in providing guidance and support to young individuals?


In these Youth & Community Services roles, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • A readiness and capability to work with vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge of community services and available resources.
  • Experience collaborating with Aboriginal groups and communities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to produce reports.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and crisis intervention.
  • Experience in providing daily living skills support and advocacy for clients.
  • Ability to coordinate both internal and external resources.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education in a relevant field (Social Services, First Nations Studies, Criminology, Psychology, etc.) along with 1-2 years of experience working with youth; or a combination of education and experience.
  • A Class 5 Driver's License with a willingness to obtain an unrestricted Class 4 within three months of hire.
  • Certifications in First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (NVCI, CPI), Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe; or the willingness to obtain these certifications within three months of hire.
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check.
  • Compensation: $25.94/hr. - $31.51/hr. based on qualifications and experience (night shift premium applicable).
