Position Summary:The Lead Creative Strategist will collaborate closely with the School Age Child Care Director, Site Director, and Senior Group Leader to oversee the daily functions of the program.
This role involves the planning, development, and execution of all before and after school activities, adhering to the YMCA School Age Curriculum guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:1. Implement the program in alignment with the YMCA's objectives and the School Age Curriculum (e.g., Creative Curriculum).
2. Establish structured routines for children, setting clear boundaries and behavioral expectations.
3. Ensure the safety of all children at all times, including the ability to execute emergency procedures when necessary.
4. Participate in parent-child events as required.
5. Maintain documentation of physical examinations and TB skin tests.
6. Fulfill local jurisdiction requirements for criminal background checks and/or fingerprinting.
7. Comply with county and state licensing standards.
It is essential to possess the ability to connect with parents, school personnel, and children while maintaining a positive and innovative attitude.
Additionally, candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to meet regulatory requirements. Physical activity is necessary to engage in games and sports with the children, and visual acuity is required to monitor all participants effectively.
