Project Manager - Electrical Standards

CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the development of electrical standards solutions. As a key member of our team, you will facilitate technical discussions and promote consensus among stakeholders to drive innovation and excellence in the electrical industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the development of leading-edge standards solutions by enabling technical discussions and promoting consensus among key stakeholders.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of standards and guidelines related to the Canadian Electrical Code Part III, Power Engineering, and Electro Magnetic Compatibility.
  • Identify, secure, and manage growth in new areas of standardization related to Grid Modernization.
  • Establish and actively manage project processes and schedules, resource requirements, costs, quality, and risk.
  • Convene in-person and virtual committee meetings, and liaise with internal and external partners to develop proposals, contracts, and financial analyses for new projects.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in design/manufacturing in the electrical equipment or electrical utility sectors.
  • Technical understanding and experience working with the Canadian Electrical Code Part I, II, and III.
  • Experience writing proposals and business plans, and acquired knowledge of the standards' industry, government policy, regulatory environment, industry landscape, and funding programs/models.
  • Excellent people skills, including managing relationships, facilitating, and networking with people at all levels.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication, including experience and comfort with delivering presentations and writing technical documents, proposals, and business plans.
