Job Summary

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Clerk to join our team. As a Senior Legal Clerk, you will play a critical role in supporting the commercial mortgage lending process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Document Preparation: Prepare and negotiate letters of intent, commitment letters, and loan documents in compliance with credit requirements.
  • Due Diligence: Engage service providers to complete property and legal due diligence, and review tenant estoppel and related documents.
  • Loan Closing Support: Work closely with borrowers and originators/underwriters to ensure loan due diligence is completed, and review closing documents to ensure conditions are cleared.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and balance closing numbers, requisition funds, and arrange funding wires.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile mortgage loan files and ensure accuracy.
Requirements
  • Experience: 7+ years of legal admin experience working closely with commercial mortgages with a lender or a law firm.
