Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager to lead our Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team at General Motors. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of cloud-based infrastructure solutions that support our business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based infrastructure solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs
  • Develop and implement cloud security and compliance strategies to ensure the integrity of our systems
  • Manage globally deployed applications and ensure seamless operation across multiple regions
  • Develop and manage enterprise-level cloud infrastructure budgets and scaling strategies
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, building diverse and inclusive teams that foster a culture of innovation and collaboration
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing and apply that knowledge to drive business growth and improvement

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related roles, with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure and automation
  • 5+ years of experience in managing large teams of engineers
  • Established SRE as a practice within an organization
  • Experience leading a global team with 24x7x365 operations
  • Experience with cloud security and regulatory compliance
  • Experience managing globally deployed applications
  • Experience with managing enterprise-level cloud infrastructure budgets
  • Experience scaling native cloud infrastructure at an enterprise level
  • Experience hiring top talent, building diverse and inclusive teams, and fostering a culture of healthy work environment
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally and navigate through ambiguity
  • Ability to think rigorously and make hard decisions and tradeoffs
  • Extreme customer focus, committed to investing in partnerships with other engineering teams to establish empathy and understand their use-cases
