Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Peace River Boat & Auto Repair Ltd. as a Commercial Transport Mechanic. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial transport trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and adjust or replace parts as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, advising customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
  • Record Keeping: Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification, Automotive Service Technician (Fuel and Electrical Systems) Trade Certification, and other relevant certifications.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in the field, or equivalent experience.
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Language: English.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with dusty and noisy conditions. They will be required to stand for extended periods and have good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
