Accounting and Assurance Manager

Position Overview:
The Accounting and Assurance Manager will play a pivotal role in leading client engagement teams to ensure the highest standards of audit and compliance are met. This position involves overseeing various financial operations, including audits, tax compliance, budgeting, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage client engagement teams in executing audits, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and overseeing financial transactions.
- Utilize industry knowledge to provide expert guidance in audit and assurance through effective client communication, comprehensive reports, and high-quality deliverables.
- Maintain and manage client portfolios, gaining a deep understanding of their business needs to ensure satisfaction and success.
- Plan and execute engagements, oversee project finances, and uphold stringent quality control measures.
- Engage with the local business community to identify and contribute to business development opportunities.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering both professional and personal growth.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a CPA designation.
- A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in public accounting.
- Experience with First Nations Communities is considered an asset.
- Strong grasp of business, accounting, and management principles.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities.
