Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the accounting and clerical functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct all accounting operational functions, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll.
  • Accumulate and consolidate financial data for internal and external financial statements.
  • Evaluate accounting and internal control systems to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Lead departmental staff and provide guidance on financial matters.
  • Manage cash-flow reports, daily cash management, and month-end/year-end close of income statement and balance sheet.
  • Prepare and present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to drive business growth and profitability.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller.
  • CPA/MBA preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, verbal, written, and social communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment.
  • Foundational knowledge in budget forecasting, foreign exchange transactions, and transfer pricing.
  • Proven knowledge of international financial reporting standards.
