We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Expert Claims Adjuster to join our team at Wawanesa Insurance. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving insurance claims in a fair and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving claims in a professional and courteous manner.
- Conduct thorough investigations of claims to determine liability and ensure that customers receive fair and timely settlements.
- Evaluate and analyze evidence from various sources, including experts, third-party vendors, and repair shops, to determine the extent of damages and calculate appropriate settlements.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure that claims are resolved efficiently and effectively.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of claims in our system, adhering to company standards and policies.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest legislative changes and industry trends to ensure that claims are handled in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and French is required.
- Obtain the Claims Adjuster designation from the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) within six months of hire.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to empathize and prioritize customer needs.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to gather and analyze evidence.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong negotiation skills.
