Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Manufacturing Test Engineer to contribute to a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality component and module products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate new product testing strategies and comprehensive test plans for manufacturing processes.
  • Design, implement, and automate testing solutions for packaged devices and/or at the wafer level.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional program team to evaluate new designs and provide effective manufacturing test solutions.
  • Participate in product design meetings as part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) project team to ensure optimal design for testability and an efficient manufacturing testing platform.
  • Work alongside R&D teams to validate the integrity of integrated circuit (IC) and system designs, ensuring testing solutions perform reliably under specified conditions and process variations.
  • Engage with selected contract manufacturers to optimize manufacturing testing processes, aiming to transfer test ownership effectively.
  • Provide necessary documentation and training to contract manufacturing personnel as required.
  • Support product qualification efforts by developing reliability screening test solutions that leverage established manufacturing tests.
  • Define configurations and requirements for manufacturing tests, collaborating with vendors and hardware/software design teams to create optimized testing systems.
  • Throughout the product lifecycle, offer support to enhance testing solutions, consistently improving yield and reducing test cycle time while driving continuous margin enhancement.
  • Ensure systematic collection and maintenance of test data for further analysis within a well-structured database platform.
  • Conduct regular test review meetings with project teams and generate necessary documentation and test reports.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in test automation with proficiency in C/C++, C#, and scripting languages.
  • Background in testing high-speed, mixed-signal integrated circuits and optoelectronic devices.
  • Familiarity with high-speed PCB/PCBA design concepts and experience in schematic capture.
  • Proficient in using electrical and optical testing equipment, including DCA, DMM, OSA, OPM, and VOA.
  • Experience in testing within embedded operating system environments.
  • Adept at working within cross-functional teams and fostering relationships across various disciplines.
  • Strong capability to identify root causes of failure modes and implement corrective measures.
  • Ability to meet demanding project timelines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct experience collaborating with contract manufacturers on product manufacturing testing.
