Unit Clerk, Oncology Clinic

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our team in the Oncology Clinic. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including booking appointments, coordinating tests and procedures, and processing clinician orders.
- Organize and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Perform a variety of receptionist duties, including greeting patients, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
- Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk Program.
- One year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
