Why this role is important?

Basic Function
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Procurement, the Supply Chain Replenishment Analyst plays a crucial role in providing analytical insights for purchasing, as well as monitoring demand and supply dynamics within the organization.
Nature and Scope
The Supply Chain Replenishment Analyst is responsible for reviewing and optimizing inventory levels, delivering forecasts to ensure that overall objectives related to service levels, inventory investment, sales, and purchasing revenue are met.
What you will do
  • Oversee various inventory management systems to ensure data accuracy and make updates as required.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust necessary forecasts to maintain appropriate stock levels at distribution centers, ensuring service level targets are achieved and purchase orders are placed with vendors.
  • Identify discrepancies in inventory and implement effective solutions, including closing purchase orders due to shortages, damages, or discontinued items.
  • Engage with vendors to obtain current information on backordered items, providing accurate availability dates to stores.
  • Review all open orders, considering current inventory levels and vendor lead times to ensure timely receipt of goods for distribution.
  • Ensure master data is accurate and consistently maintained in relevant systems.
  • Manage the process of reducing inventory levels for future de-listed items.
  • Analyze sales and inventory data to determine optimal purchasing multiples and recommend cost-effective purchasing strategies.
  • Handle provincial price adjustments and comply with all upcharge regulations.
  • Manage short-dated and expired products, collaborating with the warehouse to create and confirm return purchase orders to vendors.
  • Report all adverse events and product technical complaints promptly.
  • Collaborate with finance representatives to process client credits and provide assistance as needed.
  • Work closely with the warehouse team for order processing, delivery scheduling, follow-ups, and order modifications.
  • Coordinate and analyze the success of orders, including re-attempts and unsuccessful orders.
  • Exhibit sensitivity to client concerns, employing investigative skills to resolve distribution anomalies, and ensure clear communication and service.
  • Participate in additional projects as assigned by the Senior Manager of Procurement.
  • Be flexible to work overtime as required.

What you will need

  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in an analytical or purchasing role, or related experience equivalent to a certificate in inventory management.
  • Strong multi-tasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills while maintaining positive client relations.
  • Proactive with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and consensus-building abilities, thriving in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Responsive and adaptable to change, demonstrating self-direction.
  • Ability to identify issues and explore a range of solutions.
  • Adaptable in setting and prioritizing work, able to collaborate with diverse personalities and styles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain databases and spreadsheets, producing accurate reports and documents.
  • Post-secondary education or related experience equivalent to a certificate in inventory management.
  • Preferred proficiency in ERP systems.
