As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring services to meet the needs of individuals with significant mental health issues.

Responsibilities:

* Implement and monitor services to meet the needs of individuals with significant mental health issues
* Function independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
* Work cooperatively with multiple service providers
* Travel throughout the catchment area to deliver programs and meet the needs of clients
* Manage a case management caseload

Requirements:

* Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses as a Registered Nurse
* CNA Certification in Psychiatry and Mental Health Nursing
* 5 years recent experience working with the population in an outpatient setting
* Current CPI training
* CPR basic certification
* Knowledge of the principles and practice of the Recovery Model
* Knowledge of current psychiatric medications
* Psycho/social and mental status assessment skills
* Experience in medication delivery, administration, and monitoring
* Ability to provide a wide range of counselling, support, advocacy, and education services to clients, their family members, and others of significance in the client's life
* Ability to communicate positively and professionally with family members, community providers, and physicians
* Knowledge of and experience in Cognitive Behavior Therapy
* Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and familiarity with DSM
* Access to reliable transportation
* Possession of a valid Ontario Class \"G\" Driver's License and personal vehicle
* Ability to work co-operatively in a multidisciplinary team setting
* Knowledge of psychosocial rehab model
* Ability to work all shifts, including weekends; ability for multi-site coverage when required
* Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
* Adherence to Brightshores 'CARE' Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and 'LEAD' Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Baccalaureate degree in nursing
