Position Overview:

The Director of Financial Reporting is a pivotal role within Just Eat Takeaway, responsible for steering the financial reporting landscape across North America. This position demands a strategic thinker with a robust understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the financial reporting process for the US and Canadian markets, ensuring adherence to IFRS and the company's accounting guidelines.
- Oversee governance, risk management, and internal controls across both regions.
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting and compliance.
- Manage the quarterly reporting for Grubhub Bonds and Warrants.
- Supervise the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the parent company.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and oversee the implementation of financial controls.
- Mentor and develop a diverse team of finance professionals across multiple locations.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in public accounting or a corporate environment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- CPA designation is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is essential.
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks for publicly traded companies.
- Experience with the capitalization of internally generated software is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex accounting information clearly.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while meeting deadlines.
