Director, External Reporting

StandardAero is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our external reporting team. As Director, External Reporting, you will be responsible for overseeing the consolidation of financial statements, preparing management's discussion and analysis, and providing financial guidance to remote entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&A.
  • Manage the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statement variance analysis.
  • Provide financial support and direction to remote entities on complex contracts and accounting issues.
  • Lead and review technical accounting memos prepared by the external reporting department.
  • Review and analyze submitted financial information from strategic business unit controllers for compliance with corporate policies and accuracy of data.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging GAAP and IFRS regulations and ensure adoption and implementation across the organization.
  • Coordinate and lead activities with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of consolidated financial audits.
Requirements:
  • University degree in business administration, commerce, economics, or a related field.
  • Recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA).
  • Several years of experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial planning, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS regulations.
