The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) operates as an autonomous entity within the Legislative Assembly, established under The Auditor General Act. As legislative auditors, we extend our services to the Manitoba Legislative Assembly and, by extension, to all residents of Manitoba. Employment Conditions:
- Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required

Qualifications:
- A CPA designation or progress towards a CPA designation after successfully completing the CFE
- Significant recent experience in applying accounting principles and Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS) for financial statement audits
- Exceptional analytical abilities to identify, assess, and resolve issues logically
- Proficient in planning, organizing, and following up on assigned tasks
- Strong written communication skills to convey audit findings effectively to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within a team and with a variety of stakeholders
- Strong verbal communication skills, including active listening and concise presentation of information
Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the financial statement managers and/or principals, and indirectly to the Deputy Auditor General, the Senior Auditor will be an integral member of the financial statements service area. This role involves conducting financial statement audits in alignment with Canadian Auditing Standards. The Senior Auditor will supervise staff, manage audit budgets, and actively engage in audit processes, including planning, evidence collection, and reporting findings.
