Job Title: Healthcare Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:

Connectcaremedicalpharmacy is on the lookout for a dedicated Healthcare Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our medical practice. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary setting. Strong organizational skills and exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, are crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate patient interactions, supporting physicians and nursing staff with various administrative tasks to maintain clinic efficiency, including patient registrations, appointment scheduling, and managing cancellations.
  • Handle all forms of communication, ensuring inquiries and concerns are addressed and appropriately redirected.
  • Oversee the management of referrals to and from the practice.
  • Process incoming documentation related to patient referrals, recalls, and consultations.
  • Access and review patient reports and results, maintaining organized patient records.
  • Complete necessary forms and documentation related to medical specimens and tests.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
  • Coordinate payment collection for services not covered by insurance.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks based on urgency and importance.
  • Perform cleaning duties as required to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant program or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic medical records (EMR), and relevant software applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new software systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Ability to demonstrate problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven capacity to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment with a diverse patient population.
  • Effective multitasking, time management, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Commitment to delivering proactive and focused patient care.
  • Clear criminal record and child welfare checks.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications are advantageous.
