Job Summary
The Early Childhood Educator is a key role at First Nations University of Canada, responsible for providing high-quality child care programming to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. This position requires a diploma in Early Childhood Education or Saskatchewan equivalency, as well as current First Aid/CPR certification and Safe Food Handler's course.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the ongoing operations of the Child Care Centre and assigned duties.
- Ensure the child's environment is healthy and safe by following the Child Centre's procedures.
- Guide children's behavior to encourage positive self-concept and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences.
- Provide positive communication with parents and share progress with parents.
Requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Saskatchewan equivalency of ECE Level I, II, or III.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Safe Food Handler's course.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with parents, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
- Mature and responsible attitude with a willingness to work flexible hours.
