Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily activities based on Equest's programming, balancing educator-led and child-directed approaches.
  • Collaborate with team members to adapt programming to the needs of each child.
  • Document observations and assessments for the supervisor.
  • Support children's overall development.
  • Assist in preparing nutritious meals and snacks.
  • Adjust the environment to meet evolving program needs.
  • Follow supervision policies and procedures as outlined in Equest's policies.
  • Administer medication according to Equest's policies.
  • Complete all reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and training as requested.
Requirements
  • A certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education, or an ECE II, or ECE III equivalency.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with toddlers and/or young children.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective leadership through motivation, role modeling, and support.
  • Outgoing personality with diverse interests to engage children.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Child Care Regulations and Ministry of Education guidelines.
