Job Summary

The Early Childhood Educator is a key role at First Nations University of Canada, responsible for providing high-quality child care programming to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. This position requires a diploma in Early Childhood Education or Saskatchewan equivalency of ECE Level I, II, or III, as well as current First Aid/CPR certification and Safe Food Handler's course.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the ongoing operations of the Child Care Centre and assigned duties.
  • Ensure the child's environment is healthy and safe by following the Child Centre's procedures.
  • Guide children's behavior to encourage positive self-concept and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities and experiences.
  • Provide positive communication with parents and share progress with parents.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Saskatchewan equivalency of ECE Level I, II, or III.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Safe Food Handler's course.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with parents, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
  • Mature and responsible attitude with a willingness to work flexible hours.
