We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a critical role in assessing the creditworthiness of corporate counterparties and recommending appropriate credit limits, terms, and conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Analysis: Prepare high-quality credit applications and annual reviews of corporate counterparties, analyzing financial statements, industry dynamics, and competitive environments.
- Debt Repayment Capability: Determine debt repayment capability and ensure compliance with SGUS Credit Policies.
- Obligor Risk Ratings: Propose and update Obligor Risk Ratings.
- Covenant Monitoring: Monitor compliance with covenants.
- Legal Documentation: Review all relevant legal documentation and propose changes as necessary to comply with SGUS policies.
- Collaboration: Liaise with other CRE teams, business lines, Bankers, legal & compliance, operations, and Risk department.
- Financial Analytical Skills: Possess strong financial analytical skills, including the ability to assess credit terms and conditions.
- Commercial Banking Knowledge: Have a solid understanding of commercial and investment banking products.
- Teamwork: Ability to work in a team, interacting with teams located in other locations.
- Writing Skills: Possess strong writing skills, particularly in assessing and summarizing financial transactions.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understand accounting, legal, and regulatory issues governing relevant sectors.
- Research and Analysis: Ability to investigate, research, and synthesize data to make informed conclusions.
- Counterparty Risk Analysis: Analyze and evaluate counterparty risk and financial condition using quantitative and qualitative data.
- Finance and Accounting Principles: Understand finance and accounting principles.
- Financial Projections: Experience preparing financial projections under various scenarios.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using Word for written analysis and Excel for spreadsheet analysis.
- Capital Markets Knowledge: Knowledge of capital markets, traded products, and committed financing facilities.
- Work Experience: 4 years as a credit analyst in a corporate and investment banking entity or related field.
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
