Job Summary:

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will assist supervising physiotherapists in providing high-quality care to residents in residential care communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of treatment plans for residents, including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, and range of motion exercises.
  • Deliver dynamic and safe exercise classes for groups of residents, promoting physical activity and well-being.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for resident treatments, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
  • Maintain open communication with physiotherapists regarding resident status and treatment interventions.
  • Record daily treatments using Seniors Wellness' proprietary system.

Qualifications:

  • PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology or a similar healthcare background.
  • Previous experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting is an asset.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Certification.
