Physiotherapy Assistant Opportunity

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Providence Manor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervising physiotherapist in developing and implementing treatment plans for residents in residential care communities.
  • Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising physiotherapist, including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, and range of motion exercises.
  • Deliver dynamic and safe exercise classes for groups of residents.
  • Ensure the resident gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy.
  • Maintain regular communication with the physiotherapist regarding resident status and treatment interventions.
  • Record daily treatments using Seniors Wellness' proprietary system.

Requirements:

  • PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology or a similar healthcare background.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care setting is an asset.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Certification.
