Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at pt Health. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physiotherapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients in residential care communities.
  • Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by physiotherapists, including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, and application of modalities.
  • Deliver dynamic, safe, and therapeutically beneficial exercise classes for groups of patients.
  • Set up and prepare equipment and clean up after patients' treatments.
  • Ensure that treatment areas are safe and tidy.
  • Maintain regular communication with physiotherapists regarding patient status and treatment interventions.
  • Record daily treatments using our proprietary system.

Requirements:

  • Patient Services Associate (PSA) diploma or degree in Kinesiology or a similar healthcare background.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care (LTC) setting is an asset.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR Certification.
