About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance and Strategy Business Analyst to join our team at Samsara. As a key member of our Finance and Strategy team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and optimizing our capital allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with leaders across our Sales and Customer Outcomes teams to drive strategic decision-making, investment prioritization, and long-range planning.
  • Support the monthly top-line forecast and prepare related reports on key GTM KPIs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for questions around the F&S team's Sales financial forecast.
  • Analyze potential new GTM channels to complement our existing direct sales and partner sales motion.
  • Perform data-driven analysis to identify, evaluate, and execute on value creation initiatives, investment opportunities, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Build scalable processes and systems to enhance financial visibility, control, and planning effectiveness that support the next wave of Samsara's growth.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, and/or management consulting.
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities, including advanced Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, often changing environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to senior management.
  • Experience building financial models from scratch.
  • Must be a proactive and highly organized self-starter, able to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry experience in SaaS-based technology companies.
  • Prior experience using NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, Adaptive Planning, and Tableau.
