Company Overview: JobContax is a prominent multinational engineering consultancy specializing in highway and public realm projects, as well as transportation engineering.
Position Summary: The role involves delivering expert technical guidance and a range of services to fulfill client needs related to highway infrastructure operations and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily contract oversight and performance evaluation, including regular assessments of existing tunnel systems and operations.
- Oversee Motorway Traffic Control Centre (MTCC) operations and ensure compliance by the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Contractor with established contract stipulations.
- Develop and manage detailed contract modifications or task orders pertaining to tunnel lifecycle renewal and enhancement projects.
- Administer and monitor Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Contracts, ensuring the accuracy of key documentation and conducting periodic audits of tunnel and motorway service area facility systems.
- Provide expert advice on NEC3 Contract administration and other relevant contracts concerning tunnel/service area management.
- Advise on and monitor adherence to Tunnel Safety Directive obligations across all tunnels within the national road network.
- Deliver project and program management services related to client initiatives impacting the Project's facilities and operations.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will be a vital member of a focused team, collaborating with specialists from various disciplines as needed. They should possess:
- A level eight qualification recognized by the National Framework of Qualifications/Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) or an equivalent in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical/electronic engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in infrastructural project management.
- Experience with mechanical/electrical systems projects and managing the operation and maintenance of infrastructure facilities is preferred.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with strong communication skills to liaise effectively with public sector officials, the public, and senior colleagues.
- Solid experience in project or program management, ideally within a multidisciplinary context.
- A good command of Microsoft applications, particularly Project, Excel, and Word.
- Familiarity with modern procurement and contract management practices.
- An understanding of the operation and maintenance of highway infrastructure or similar sectors would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of PPP contracts, NEC3 contracts, and their operational mechanisms.
- Awareness of commercial risk and procurement strategies.
- Comfort in a matrix management environment as part of an integrated team working towards the Project's objectives.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary highway projects.
- Familiarity with current national, regional, and local standards related to highway engineering.
Contract Details: This is a contract role with a compensation range of €30-€35 per hour.
