Position Summary
The Engineering Salesperson will play a crucial role in addressing the needs of the engineering sector by comprehensively understanding and detailing the selection of components, systems, and solutions for HVAC designs. This position requires strong communication skills, self-motivation, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Compensation
Salary range is $70,000-$90,000.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture relationships with industry stakeholders, including Engineers, Architects, Contractors, Developers, and Owners, to enhance sales and expand market presence.
  • Maintain active engagement within the engineering community to ensure product specifications on various projects.
  • Assess client requirements and deliver suitable technical solutions to meet their design intent.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, codes, and market trends to leverage opportunities effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with a focus on a Customer First approach.
  • Demonstrate a desire for continuous professional development and self-education.
  • Participate in manufacturer training sessions to remain updated on product innovations and software tools, with some travel involved as necessary.
  • Foster sustainable customer relationships through transparent communication.
  • Gain knowledge across both mechanical and air-side products to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Engage with ASHRAE by attending monthly meetings and participating in relevant events.
  • Conduct educational presentations as needed.
  • Assist in strategizing and executing new product launches.
  • Participate in all divisional and office meetings.
  • Attend industry-related events as required.
  • Support customer engagement activities, including open houses and networking events.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
Candidate Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with a strong understanding of HVAC systems.
  • A University degree or College diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineer designation (PEng) is an asset.
  • Proficient in reading Architectural and Mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and resourceful.
  • Able to work independently under pressure.
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and respect for others.
