Job Description:

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturer and distributor in the HVAC industry to find a skilled Engineering Salesperson for their Victoria branch.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with industry stakeholders, including engineers, architects, contractors, and developers, to grow sales and expand market share in accordance with company goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders to grow sales and expand market share.
  • Engineering Community Presence: Maintain a presence in the engineering community to have products specified or listed as an equal on all projects.
  • Client Needs Understanding: Understand client needs and provide appropriate technical solutions to achieve satisfaction and design intent.
  • Industry and Local Codes: Understand and remain current with industry and local codes and regulations, as well as market trends, to ensure compliance and identify opportunities.
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service with a customer-first approach to business.
  • Continuous Learning: Continuously learn and grow, self-educate, and attend manufacturer's factory and training visits to stay up-to-date on the latest product developments and software tools.
  • Sustainable Customer Relationships: Build sustainable customer relationships and trust through open communication.
  • Cross-Training: Cross-train on both mechanical products and air-side products to identify opportunities for other products.
  • Industry Events: Attend industry-related events, such as ASHRAE meetings, SMACNA, MCA, and VRCA events.
  • Customer Events: Assist with planning and implementing customer events, such as open houses, sporting events, and lunches.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties assigned by your manager.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering with excellent knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Education: University degree or college diploma in mechanical engineering specialization required.
  • Professional Engineer Designation: Holding a Professional Engineer designation (PEng) is an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including verbal, listening, and written presentation skills.
  • MS Office: Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, creative, and resourceful.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Ability to work under pressure unsupervised.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative mind.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Strong work ethic guided by personal integrity and mutual respect.
