About the Opportunity
The Bank of Canada is seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Assistant - Doctoral Student to join our team. As a Research Assistant, you will play a central role in advancing our understanding of the Canadian economy and contributing to the development of monetary policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on a range of economic topics, including macroeconomics, monetary policy, and financial markets.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Bank's research agenda and contribute to the development of new research projects.
- Collaborate with senior researchers and economists to design and implement research studies.
- Present research findings to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of policy briefs and other research products.
Requirements
- Ph.D. student in economics or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with a proven track record of producing high-quality research.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex research findings to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
- Fluency in English or French, with the ability to work in both languages.
