Project Coordinator (Vancouver)

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team, who will be responsible for assisting in the management of various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge and a passion for constructability, design, and problem-solving.

This role will primarily assist a Senior Project Manager on large-scale Tenant Improvement projects with high-end design and detail. It will be a great opportunity to work on some of the most exciting projects in Vancouver.

The role will be based out of our Surrey, BC office, but we offer remote and flexible working arrangements. The role will also require travel to projects in Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in submittal review and constructability review in documentation and on-site
  • Provide support to Senior Project Managers and manage aspects of trade partners and projects as needed
  • Involved in monthly reconciliations of projects, detailed analysis of all invoicing, site progress, and financial profitability
  • Issuing of contracts to all trade partners
  • Start-up documentation, requesting insurance and bonds, WCB notices, etc.
  • Using Timberline and Microsoft software to manage labour, materials, and equipment, cost coding, submittals, schedules, meeting minutes, change orders, etc.
  • Managing trade partners and suppliers, and mitigating issues that may arise in the course of a project
  • Attending meetings with Senior Project Managers, architects, consultants, and clients to manage project issues and maintain positive working relationships
Requirements:
  • Required Post-secondary, technical education (BCIT) or similar in a construction or industry-related program - Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent
  • Engineering or Architecture background would be an asset
  • Industry Experience - 5+ years
