Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator - Buildings is a pivotal role within our organization, reporting directly to the Project Manager. This position plays a crucial part in the planning, organization, and execution of ICI and Residential construction initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee project documentation, ensuring accurate maintenance of daily reports, RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, billing, and labor timesheets.
  • Support the Superintendent with operational duties, including the preparation of work plans, scheduling updates, and the supervision of subcontractor activities.
  • Manage field operations by planning, scheduling, and coordinating on-site work effectively.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Quality and Safety Plans, participating in safety reviews and training sessions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Conduct basic engineering calculations and assist in interpreting drawings and specifications for field teams.
  • Coordinate the ordering, scheduling, and tracking of material deliveries to the job site.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support project goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Project Coordinator with a General Contractor in the ICI sector.
  • Effective communication skills with supervisors, project teams, and subcontractors.
  • Strong understanding of construction specifications, methods, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with scheduling, estimating, and subcontracting processes.
  • Proficient in project control software applications, including AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada.
