Position Overview
The Sales Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering both technical and administrative assistance to our valued customers, as well as to the Outside Sales and Counter Sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Outside Sales and Counter Sales teams in expanding the market for all HVAC-R products.
- Provide technical guidance to both internal staff and clients.
- Generate equipment selections and quotations for refrigeration and HVAC systems to support the sales team in meeting customer needs.
- Evaluate various supplier options to recommend the most suitable solutions for customers and the company.
- Respond to customer inquiries and offer effective solutions.
- Engage in product training sessions for staff and customers.
- Organize and manage customer orders efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer data, and requests.
- Offer counter sales assistance as required.
- Identify the best approaches to resolve issues, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies.
- Follow safe material handling practices.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with both staff and customers.
- Participate in an after-hours customer service call schedule.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned or necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of supplier platforms.
- Capability to perform load calculations for HVAC-R systems.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Understanding of effective sales techniques.
- Familiarity with HVAC-R systems and the ability to communicate this knowledge to customers.
- Proficient in processing orders, quotes, credits, and backorders using company software.
- Comprehension of basic inventory management and warehousing practices.
- Aptitude for multitasking.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Energetic and self-driven attitude.
- Maintain professionalism at all times.
