Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Encourage regular exercise, such as walking, to maintain physical health
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to support clients' dietary needs
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting social interaction and reducing feelings of loneliness
  • Assist clients with laundry and other household tasks
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work independently
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Work Environment

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in a non-smoking environment, providing care and support to clients in their own homes. You will have access to public transportation and will be required to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
