Job Title: Home Support Worker

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Gurmeet Gill Personal Real State Corporation. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Encourage regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical and mental well-being
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary needs and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation
  • Launder clothing and household linens, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic
Work Environment:

Our clients reside in their own homes, and as a Home Support Worker, you will work in a non-smoking environment. Public transportation is available, and you will be required to use it to travel to client locations.

Physical Demands:

The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with the ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs). You must be physically capable of performing the duties required and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Language:

The primary language spoken in this role is English, and you must be fluent in this language to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.Work Hours:

This is a permanent position, and you will be required to work 40 hours per week. Your schedule will be determined in consultation with your manager and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
