We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Gurmeet Gill Personal Real State Corporation. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide personal care and companionship to our clients in their own homes. Your duties will include administering medications, assisting with bathing and personal hygiene, and providing nutritious meals.

Work Site Environment

Our clients' homes are non-smoking environments, and you will be expected to maintain a clean and safe living space.

Work Setting

You will work in the employer's/client's home, providing one-on-one support to our clients.

Tasks
  • Administer medications as prescribed by a healthcare professional
  • Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
  • Assist in regular exercise, such as walking
  • Feed or assist in feeding clients
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Provide companionship and social interaction
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with daily living activities
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses

You will be required to hold a First Aid Certificate and undergo a criminal record check.

Security and Safety

We require a criminal record check and a reference from a previous employer.

Transportation/Travel Information

Public transportation is available for travel to and from clients' homes.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and may involve physically demanding tasks.

Weight Handling

You will be required to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) on a regular basis.

Personal Suitability

We are looking for an individual with excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
