Ninepenny Brewing is a premium craft brewery that has become a go-to spot for residents of Conception Bay and surrounding areas. The brewery was created by a group of friends who share a passion for community, science, and beer.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Taproom General Manager to join our team at Ninepenny Brewing. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of the taproom, including managing the taproom team, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage cash, credit, and tip transactions, including deposits, balances, and allocating tips to the team.
- Schedule and manage the taproom team, ensuring adequate staffing levels and shift schedules.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, reordering and stocking as needed.
- Prepare and serve food, adhering to food safety standards.
- Standardize operations based on best practices and industry standards.
- Manage human resources functions and processes, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Engage with customers, plan and schedule events, and maintain beer knowledge of brands, flavors, profiles, and pairings.
- Maintain and clean draught lines, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
- Decision-making skills, including taking initiative, motivation, and sound judgments and decisions.
- Excellent team player with good interpersonal relations skills.
- Problem-solving skills in planning and organization, with the ability to adapt.
- Results-oriented with respect to quality of work and quantity of work/productivity.
- Excellent customer service skills, including interpersonal and technical skills.
- Management experience with leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of the industry and commitment to improvement.
