About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at GameStop. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that customers receive an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Assist the Store Manager in supervising and motivating a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Merchandise and Services: Collaborate with the Store Manager to determine the best merchandise and services to offer customers, ensuring that the store remains competitive and aligned with company goals.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Assist in determining staffing requirements and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that customers leave the store satisfied.
  • Computer and Technology: Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and other technology used in the store.
  • Security and Safety: Ensure that the store is secure and safe for customers and employees, including conducting regular inventory checks and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Personal Suitability: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of retail experience, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
