Position Overview

As a Senior Finance Analyst at Regional Group, you will be part of a pioneering real estate firm with over sixty years of expertise in transforming the property landscape in the National Capital Region.

We currently manage a robust portfolio exceeding $5 billion, encompassing commercial, mixed-use, and residential developments across Ontario and Quebec, which includes 9 million square feet of commercial space and 2,000 residential units.

Our homebuilding division, eQ Homes, is dedicated to crafting innovative and award-winning communities that set the standard for home innovation and sustainable living.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and organize historical financial data from internal systems.
  • Utilize advanced Excel capabilities to develop new financial models as necessary.
  • Prepare comprehensive forecasts and projections regarding company performance, including cash flow assessments and budget variances.
  • Monitor debt facility repricing, hedging opportunities, and debt maturities while identifying potential financial risks.
  • Conduct market analyses, focusing on interest rate risks and lender risk evaluations.
  • Assist in preparing documentation required by lenders for project financing, including invoices, purchase agreements, site plans, appraisals, and environmental reports.
  • Support the maintenance and distribution of financial metrics related to debt, tracking amounts, guarantees, letters of credit, cash collateral, and debt covenant calculations.
  • Coordinate the collection of information necessary for the annual or quarterly loan review process, including financial statements, rent rolls, property taxes, and lease agreements.
  • Create ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by the Manager of Capital.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA designation is considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the real estate sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Yardi, NewStar, or SQL is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of cost and financial accounting practices, analysis, and reporting.
