About the Role

Bridgeway Family Homes is seeking skilled professionals to join our team as Family Support Specialists. As a Family Support Specialist, you will work with families, children, and youth who are experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with our collaborative professional team to provide goal-focused services in Foster Homes and the community.
  • Provide Scheduled Services: Offer scheduled, goal-focused services to families and individuals, including providing services during the week, some weekend sessions, and occasionally daytime sessions during weekdays.
  • Develop Goal-Focused Activities: Create and implement goal-focused activities to support the needs of our clients.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and other administrative tasks to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Transportation: Safely transport children and youth while providing services.
Requirements
  • Certificate or Diploma: Hold a certificate or diploma in a social service discipline from a recognized college.
  • Experience: Possess experience providing services to children, youth, and families with a variety of needs.
  • Certifications: Hold current Verbal De-escalation Certification and CPR/First Aid certifications.
  • Knowledge: Have knowledge of FASD, ODD, autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and other diagnoses.
  • Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent organizational, administrative, and report-writing skills.
Additional Requirements
  • Criminal Record Check: Possess a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Child Welfare Record Check: Hold a current Child Welfare Record Check.
  • Driver's Abstract: Provide a Driver's Abstract and hold a Class 'G' Driver's License.
  • Vehicle Insurance: Have access to an insured vehicle with $2 million liability insurance.
