Job Summary

The Reprographic Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality printing services to clients, utilizing current printing equipment and software applications. This role involves preparing formats, setting up, operating, and maintaining image settings to meet client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine output requirements for each request and set up machines, prints, and checks proofs, scans, and manipulates documents as required.
  • Utilize current digital, large color, and black and white reprographic equipment and networked computer applications to produce various printing jobs as requested by clients.
  • Set up and operate offset press equipment, perform adjustments as required, clean, and lubricate machine parts.
  • Perform a variety of bindery duties such as drilling, collating, and stapling materials.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of high-frequency service call areas on specified equipment to maximize customer uptime.
  • Clean reprographic equipment according to vendor specifications and change supplies.
  • Record meter reads, process production forms, and maintain records.

Requirements

  • Grade 10 plus three years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of social, economic, political, and historical realities of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples and familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism, anti-racism, and Indigenous Cultural Safety and foundational documents and legislative commitments.
