Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Thrive Group Canada. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in geriatric nursing care and standards, with the ability to empathize with people with physical and emotional needs. You will be responsible for providing personalized care to our residents, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and participating in interdisciplinary health teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to residents, promoting their independence and dignity
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Participate in interdisciplinary health teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program and certification
  • Experience in a long-term care setting, with knowledge of geriatric nursing care and standards
  • Ability to empathize with people with physical and emotional needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
