AVP of Finance Operations

Friends, a world-class financial services company, is seeking an experienced AVP of Finance Operations to join their team in Canada and Europe. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic company that values flexibility and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver finance project and process improvement initiatives, supporting enterprise projects
  • Assess feasibility of finance change objectives, delivery timeline, and benefits applicable to accounting, expense management, finance systems efficiency, and data integrity
  • Uphold finance visions in terms of value creation, customer service focus, and process simplification
  • Mentor a group of finance managers, including setting up short- and long-term goals, 1:1 coaching
  • Effectively own the finance change stream to achieve company goals while developing and retaining top talents
Requirements:
  • Designated accounting professionals with CA, CGA, CMA qualified or equivalent
  • 10+ years in a progressive leadership role, specifically within Finance, with strong exposure to financial systems implementation
  • Strong sense of customer focus, quality results-oriented, managing stakeholder expectations, and timely communication
  • Broad business knowledge in Finance, accounting, reporting, planning, IT, systems, underwriting, claims operations, reserving, and IFRS17
