Position: Principal Tax Consultant or Senior Manager

Baker Tilly SNT is a well-established, locally owned full-service CPA firm located in Northern Ontario. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional services to a diverse clientele across various sectors, including commercial enterprises and not-for-profit organizations.

With a workforce of over 100 professionals, we leverage the expertise of our partners within the Baker Tilly Canada network and our global affiliation with Baker Tilly International to deliver comprehensive solutions.

We are currently seeking a Principal Tax Consultant or Senior Manager to operate from any of our offices. This role involves collaborating closely with partners and senior staff on business tax compliance, tax provisions, and advisory projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality tax planning and advisory services.
  • Leading specialized tax engagements.
  • Providing ongoing support, mentorship, and professional development to team members regarding tax knowledge and issues.
  • Preparing and conducting technical training sessions for staff.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on taxation.
  • Canadian Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
  • Successful completion of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course or a Master’s in Taxation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, along with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management and organizational abilities.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, Caseware/Casview, TaxPrep, and tax research software.
  • Demonstrated project management and time management skills.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
