Job Title: Employment and Youth Resource Specialist

This is a permanent full-time position at Confederation College. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing customer service, reception, promotion, and registration and pre-assessment of clients, data entry, Youth Job Connect, employment programs and coordinating administrative details for the NEW Community Employment Resource Centre in Dryden.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service and reception support to clients and visitors
  • Assist with the promotion and registration of clients for employment programs
  • Enter data and maintain accurate records
  • Support the Youth Job Connect program, including providing program support and mentoring, and coordinating job readiness training for youth seeking employment opportunities
  • Coordinate administrative details for the NEW Community Employment Resource Centre
  • Participate in outreach activities to promote the NEW services
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field, such as Human Resources, English, Hospitality, Social Services, or Service Environment
  • Experience facilitating workshops and providing employment advisement and referrals
  • EOIS CAMS and photo editing software skills
  • Advanced level knowledge of websites and computer programs
  • Crisis intervention training
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will be required to work on campus during regular working hours.
