Aboriginal Youth Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Aboriginal Youth Worker. The successful candidate will work with Aboriginal youth, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and overcome challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to Aboriginal youth, focusing on education, employment, and life skills development.
  • Develop and implement culturally sensitive programs and activities to promote Aboriginal youth empowerment and self-esteem.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, schools, and government agencies to access resources and services for Aboriginal youth.
  • Conduct assessments and develop case plans to address the unique needs of Aboriginal youth.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive support services to Aboriginal youth and their families.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as social work, education, or community development.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal youth and communities.
  • Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and history.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
