About the Role:

BQ International Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled IT Solutions Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Solutions & Architecture team, you will be responsible for providing Information Technology (IT) solutions to business problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT solutions that meet business needs, including systems, applications, infrastructure, and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and select the best solutions for the organization.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of systems, architectures, systems management, networking, and application design techniques.
  • Develop non-functional and technical specifications for solution RFP documents.
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise strategies and focused on business outcomes.
  • Oversee the activities of technical resources to deliver solutions.
  • Work with project teams to develop conceptual architecture designs.
  • Provide assistance and mentorship as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Solution Architect role, with a proven track record of leading large IT projects.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement standards and procedures.
  • Ability to understand the functions and features of products and services.
  • Expert-level communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working closely with business to solve technical and process problems.
  • Canadian federal, provincial, municipal government work experience preferred.
  • TOGAF 8 or higher certification.
