About the Role

We are recruiting for an Account Executive - Controls to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying prospects, setting appointments, and managing sales cycles to close new business. You will achieve annual sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and become a trusted advisor for our clients on value-added solutions, consulting offerings, and additional products and services.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business
  • Achieve annual sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies
  • Be the primary point of contact for building long-term relationships with our customers
  • Become a trusted advisor for our clients on value-added solutions, consulting offerings, and additional products and services
  • Promote Houle throughout the A&E community, including consultants and engineers
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including design, engineering, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations
  • Maintain updated knowledge of company products and services
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Attend industry-related functions, such as tradeshows, conferences, and other networking events
  • Target strategic end-user customers to identify retrofit opportunities

Your Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years of business development and/or strategic sales experience in the controls/DDC industry
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed growth and sales targets
  • Experienced in delivering presentations and influencing stakeholders
  • Excellent networking and prospecting skills
  • Good multitasking ability and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment

Preferred Skills

  • Strategic sales training - Acclivus/Miller Heiman
  • Proven knowledge of control systems, with a preference for Reliable Controls and Schneider
  • Business or engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred

Salary Range

$95,000-$115,000 per year, plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will commensurate with experience, skills, and overall match to the position offered.
