Information Technology Specialist & Network Administrator

  • Oversee and maintain telecommunication systems.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Internet service providers, ensuring effective support and maintenance of network systems. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing network infrastructure, including UPS Battery Backups, Fiber, Ethernet, network switches, VoIP gateways, paging systems, and intercom systems.
  • Execute the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of network switches, domain servers, firewalls, public address systems, and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Administer the Unifi Controller, deploy access points, and establish Wi-Fi networks utilizing a voucher-based access system.
  • Provide recommendations for technology procurement, installation, and support for classroom devices, including interactive whiteboards, projectors, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, and software applications.
  • Manage inventory and track government assets as per Title V regulations.
  • Coordinate the filing of Title V documentation and liaise with Fixed Asset personnel.
  • Conduct inspections of fixed assets as requested by regulatory bodies.
  • Develop automated inventory management solutions using Google Sheets, including macros and scripts.
  • Configure, maintain, and oversee Domain Controllers, directory services, Group Policy, and security policies, as well as manage file servers, print servers, and campus printing solutions.
  • Regularly update and maintain software applications as provided by vendors.
  • Administer Active Directory to manage user accounts, security, and distribution groups.
  • Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to regulate access to files and systems as necessary.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive off-site technology disaster recovery strategy.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
