We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining new software applications to support our business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Write, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Research and Design: Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Design, run, and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs to correct errors, isolate areas for improvement, and debug.
  • Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with non-technical staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines, and train end-users to operate new or modified programs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards to support procurement and development efforts.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, or software engineering, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Experienced with various development technologies, including programming languages, software development methodologies, and testing frameworks.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
