Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student in Manufacturing Engineering to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the design, development, and testing of manufacturing processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate manufacturing methods and processes to determine the most efficient and effective way to produce and test products.
  • Support the development of new manufacturing processes and systems, including design, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
  • Contribute to the improvement of manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Participate in product development meetings and assist with the implementation of design changes to enhance manufacturing and assembly.
  • Support standardization initiatives, including the implementation of 5S practices and the streamlining of processes through documentation and lean optimization.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Knowledge or understanding of MRP systems, lean principles, design for manufacture, and design for assembly processes.
  • Experience or knowledge of PowerBI, Excel VBA, and SQL for visual dashboards and data analytics.
  • Experience or knowledge of production and test layout design, including ergonomics and safety.
  • Strong planning capabilities, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and as part of a team.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
